Informative AND entertaining. I love Jon Oliver.
Funny how it takes a person from a foreign land to show just how fucked up we have become in this country!!!
In reality we were always that fucked up!!!
LMAO!!!
I like him too, but I find his voice highly annoying!
I don't disagree with his comments, but I'd rather not use comedians as a news source.
I hear ya. Too often when I do a fact check on something Oliver or Colbert says I am rewarded with "looks like the comedy pundits did their homework on the veracity of their statements".
@silverotter11 I don't question the veracity, I object to folks using FB/YT/Yahoo as their primary source of 'news'. More often than not, posts here have links with (what I call) 'tracking crapola' which inescapably tell me the links were "shared" from FB (or worse).
@FearlessFly I understand now. Yeah, I use Reuters, Consortium News, BBC. My twin relies on fox and oann. We don't talk much and I am glad she live 3,000 miles away or I'd be seriously hard put to refrain from slappin' her upside the head.
His research teams are amazing! He must have pilfered deep into Jon Stewards staff!

Sometimes you can get them from You Tube or other sources. They seem to be censored in many countries for whatever reason.
@Barnie2years . . . THE reason (a very good read) :
@Barnie2years I think I've come across this before with Jon Oliver. I love watching him but his programme is copyright in the USA and theoretically not allowed in Canada. Mind you I prefer Meyer everyday!
@Barnie2years So I googled Oliver and got into HBO and found now I could watch Oliver. which episode does this post refer to. I'm watching October 4th or 8th I believe.
@rogerbenham The one referred to above was actually broadcast last night (Oct 18) so it may not be available right away.
