Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that he saw nothing criminal in Hunter Biden’s past business ties with Ukraine or Russia, marking out his disagreement with one of Donald Trump’s attack lines in the U.S. presidential election.
If they appear to disagree it's only to confuse us.
Trying to prove that Trump isn't his puppet. Any takers? Anyone?
trying to get on Biden's good side.
Putin's goal is to de-stabilize American society. By weighing in on Hunter Biden he gets a win win. He gets Dems second guessing the veracity of the claim, simply because it came from Putin.
Plus, while they are certain that Hunter did nothing wrong, having Putin say it creates a conundrum. Accept Vlads proclamation, then you have to justify why he's es right about this, but wrong about everything else. A dammed if you, damned if you don't prospect.
Likewise it pisses the Repubs because it counters their desired narrative. For Putin its a win-win.
Yep. The old disinformation double-shuffle. (I meant to use that phrase earlier, but couldn't fit it in in a way that "sang".)
Kicking Donnie to the curb, is he?
Putin will use whatever tool is handy. It's even odds whether he's calculating that this will somehow hurt Biden (another October Surprise), whether he thinks it will somehow get him on Joe's good side since Biden looks to be the likely winner, or if he's just sowing chaos.
While neatly putting the subject back out on the front page. Well done, Vladimir.
This is just another way to try and influence the US elections by mentioning the non-story of Hunter Biden once again.
Hunter Biden is not running for President, and he won't have an office in the West Wing if Biden wins- unlike Ivanka Trump and her husband, who were installed as "senior advisors" despite lacking any expertise whatsoever other than their relation to Trump. They're the kids we should be talking about.
