You know you are getting old. When you lie in bed at night and your mind makes a list of ten or twelve important, and urgent things you must do tomorrow.
And in the morning, you can't remember any of them.
Is it bad that I was doing that back in my thirties?
Anyway, smart phone notes app.....for everything. It is far more reliable than my brain.
No, I think that it can happen at any age actually. It just seems more annoying now.
When I get low on an item, I add it to a grocery list. Then it's off my mind.
But if I forget to bring the grocery list, I blank out at the grocery store.
Been there, done that. And you remember just as you pull back into your drive on the way home.
Welcome to the Senior world
I write my grocery list on my cell phone.
That's a good idea. More often than not, I don't carry my cell phone.
Not as important as you thought .. Or maybe a dream
Notepad and pen.
Nice idea but, then you have to sit up, switch the light on and write it down. There are too big problems with that, first you will have still forgoten half of them by the time you sit up, and second you would never get to sleep.
@Fernapple I’ve trained myself to use them when I’m over thinking, otherwise I stew and don’t sleep. Also I don’t like forgetting creative stuff I come up with when dropping off. But sounds like you may need another technique.
Reminds me of the hereafter. When getting old people actually experience the hereafter. When going some place to do or get something, they arrive and have to ask themselves, "what did I come hereafter?"
On that criterion, I reached old age when I turmed 20.
