I recently posted a post about witches and apparently there are people on this site that do believe in witches. In that case, does anybody reading this believe in mermaids or dragons or fairies or leprachauns or goblins or bigfoot or werewolfs or vampires? For me, I do not believe in any of the things I just mentioned but I can not prove they do not exist. IF science were to discover that mermaids were REAL, and have been confirmed, I would believe in them. So the people who believe in witches must also believe in magic. I mean, witches use the "energy" and magic to do their witchcraft. I do not believe in magic but I can not prove it does not exist.

Witches are just people that follow the religion reconstructed by Gardner in 1945 of Wicca.
Some Pagans like to call themselves Witches, some don't but all Wicca do.
You can believe in Witches just as you can believe in Cardinals, or Imams.
I believe in Magi too, the wise guys from the Bible, actually the clergy of Zoroastrianism.
There are many mystery women in Eastern Europe called "Baba" they live and they are recorded in their mythology and legends. From mythology they fear Baba Yaga, and from history they marvel at the implications of the prophesies of the famous Baba Vanga who predicted the future for Brezhnev president of the USSR.
I was married to a Bulgarian woman for 14 years, our daughters were blessed by a Baba.
When translated to English many use the word Witch for them especially Baba Yaga.
Good luck finding your mermaids and magical TV Witches or the ones qualified to be burned because they no more exist than Jewish leaders that could do magic tricks with water.

Yes. They are unidentified.
I’ve met a couple of witches at least, and it doesn’t mean I believe in mythical beings, or magical energy. Just women that believe in those things. I also know people that practice reiki, I don’t believe in that either, but there are definitely people that practice it.
