Nothing in this crazy country works anymore and you can't even complain about it. You may be successful in talking to sime funcionary in the Phillipines or Guatemla.To wit: Dental insurance. I went to the dentest who assured me they are participating in my dental insurance program (United Concordia). I have used this plan for about 20 years and they always paid a per-centage of the cost of fillings. I had a tooth filled and they told me the cost would be around $200.00. I assumed I would get a bill from the insurance program telling me to pay my share but I was charged nearly the full rate. I called my Insurance plan in an attempt to clear up the problem and they told me that they don't pay for "white" or "Porcelain" fillings, only the silver, or "Amalgum" fillings. Had the dentist used amalgum fillings containing mercury, my co-pay would have been about $40.00, but here's the rub. It is illegal now to use the antiquated amalgum fillings in PA. I called the insurance companies ahd talked to about 5 or 6 different people and they all treated me like a trouble maker and insisted that I didn't know what I was talking about. They claim to know nothing about the law concerning the use of amalgum fillings. I called the PA Dental Assoc. and asked if there s a law prohibiting the use of silver fillings and nobody there could answer the question. In the end they told me I was rude and insulting and hung up. I have faced these kinds of problems more times than I can count, and I wonder if I am the only one who realizes that nobody knows what they are doing these days, and the only one who questions these illegal practices,. I realise Insurance companies, especially are a big scam! Ceartainly the government is as well. I am a Democrat and a Liberal and I believe in democracy and law and order, but I am beginnin to understand why people would want to drop out and move to the Montana woods to form a radical cult but, in their ignorance they are supporting the wrong side! When the Trump administration is successfull in annuling the election results and re-assuming power, he will probably empower insurance companies to charge high rates and cover nothing, and you should be happy you live in a "free" country and just shut up and pay up!
