What I thought was missing was the smoked salmon. Don't like olives? Pick'em off, just like with pizza. 
@Surfpirate IMO olives spead their nasty taste to everything they touch, immediately.
@AnneWimsey Is it the oil or the brine that offend you? Have you tried different types of olives?
@Surfpirate i have, an Italian Deli in Providence RI has a olive bar & gives free samples, and some were acceptable...not yummy, but edible. The green ones in jars are IMO uniformly Dreadful!
@AnneWimsey I love the dry cured black olives and the Kalamata olives in a salad nicoise, can't imagine a vodka martini without 3 olives stuffed with garlic in it. The basic pimento stuffed olives do leave me a bit flat, have to agree with that.

I would have thought No Name brand Dijon would have sufficed.
