Has everyone pumped up the economy with the tax reduction you received. My Social security check went up $!.76 and I became so overjoyed. Meanwhile across town the billionaires are overwhelmed wondering how and where to place their extra $300 million they will received. Our state is near bankruptcy because the wealthy have moved to tax havens in the south where they are using books in high school that were purchased in the 1980's. How is it that 95% of this country cannot protect itself from this greed?
Trickle down economics is bullshit..and it only benefits the wealthy.
Gee, you sound kind of bitter...I had a net loss of $2, buck up, bunky!
Just trying to get over the overwhelming increase that the republicans now want to take away.
Take it up with the republicans. They're the ones directly responsible for this shitstorm.
I'll never understand why some people continue to vote against their own best interests.
Cognitive dissonance doesn't just apply to religious faith and belief in things that don't exist.
@Morganfreeman I do not disagree. However, the Republicans gave us this current tax bill.
We need more unions! More activism in general, but especially on economic issues
The biggest single factor, even more than education, for a bigger comparable paycheck is union membership. Proud member of ATU 1005.
@kmdskit3 Great! I wish I was in a union. But I'll do what I can to support them!
Good on you!
The only thing good for me is my union pension is not taking 10% withholding tax out.
You can buy 1 and 1/3 things more at the Dollar Store...only 1/3 because of state tax. Mazeltov!
Mine went down closeto 20.00 because Medicare went up. FU Trumpty Dumpty and Republicans!
Your social security check cannot go down bercause of Medicare. There is a law that does not allow your net check to decrease due to medicare. The part B rate right now is 134.00. Lots of people aren’t paying that much because the Social security cost of living increases the last several years have been to low to even cover the cost of the premium. So they only increase your medicare premium to make you even. And it has nothing to do with Trump. It happened several years under Obama as well. Also starting with 75k per year for individuals and 170k per year for couples, you pay an income based increased premium.
I'm on disability. It did go down.
