Does anyone else here enjoy punk rock or post-punk? I'm a huge fan of both and would love to hear from you.

Of course. The Nobody's, The Meatmen, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, The Members, The Damned, The Ramones, The Dead Boys, The Jesus And Mary Chain, The Plasmatics, Fear, Nashville Pussy, Revolting Cocks, Elvis Costello And The Attractions, The Minutemen, The Church, The Runaways, Jason And The Scorchers, The Rainmakers, Iggy And The Stooges (as well as Iggy Pop solo), The Decendents, The Adolescents, The Buzzcocks.....

All still have a place in my rotation, even if only now and then.

@alphasoixante out of your list I LOVE subhumans, the clash (classic) and dead Kennedys. I am a huge fan of Jello Biafra... love his political lyrics

I knew I was going to forget some. How the hell could I have left out The Dead Kennedy's and Joy Division???? I left out The Stranglers, The Butthole Surfers, Black Flag and The Circle Jerks too.

@alphasoixante black flag is also great and I love Henry Rollins in general. He has wrote a lot of books and I love his talks... he should do a podcast. I saw circle jerks live and it was amazing!

Yes. One of my favorite punk bands is Reagan Youth. But I love a shit load of punk and could talk about it for hours. Unfortunately I am on my cell phone and don't want to type a lot on this small keyboard but add me on here and tell me one of your favorites!

@alphasoixante who are you? I love you.

I LOVE Punk and Post-Punk! My DJ friend and I host a Punk/Post-Punk party night. I have comfortably over 3 hours of non-stop Punk and between us we can provide music all night if needed. I change the music a bit if there are minors present ie no Exploited as they include a lot of f- words. Favourite Punk bands include The Sex Pistols, 4 Skins, The Clash and X-ray Spex. Favourite Post-Punk - too many to mention but Leyton Buzzards springs readily to mind. I'm glad there are others who like me love this music. I will check out some of the bands posted, Thanks.

Yes, yes and yes. The Clash is my favorite band. Always. So many on your list. Revolting Cocks are another absolute favorite. The Ramones. Pistols, Iggy, Buzzcocks, The Stranglers, Generation X. I’m a punk rock girl at heart. ❤️??

I like older pop-punk. Buzzcocks and Stranglers and Gen X are particular favorites. Of course, the Clash, who I was lucky enough to see with Who in '82. You might like this from a couple of years ago, Tony James of Generation X and Mick Jones of The Clash.

I checked a couple of sites for lists of post-punk bands and was surprised Killing Joke and The Sisters of Mercy were listed. I've got many of their CDs and love em!!

I like Black Flag, the Dead Milkmen, the Ramones, the Cure, etc. I give up on trying to name them all, but most of the punk/alternative bands that were popular (relatively speaking) in the middle 80s to early 90s.

My first choice was heavy metal though.

Sum 41, Green Day, and The All American Rejects.

I like what has been referred to as pronk - progressive punk. Cardiacs and Knifeworld. I also like PIL's Compact Disc album.

Mostly I'm a progressive rock fan first, jazz second, and classical third, 🙂

Have you seen the movie CBGB? Fabulous! It was on Netflix, not sure if it still is. If you weren't a punk fan before, you will be after watchingt this ...

Reminds me of the Dead Kennedys

Punk. Especially Canadian based bands. The friend that gave me my first guitar lesson is a huge punk fan and knows a lot of the bands. It's an addictive music.

We live in times of way too many labels. Enjoy the music for what it is.

@alphasoixante categories is a priority for the snob. I will continue looking beyond the label.

The clash is as close as I got

I seem to remember po go-ing in the distant past .

I think they started out as a Christian band, I don't think so now, but MxPx still has a special place in my musical collection. Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo is a fantastic punk rock album.

Yes but way too many to list. I worked at venues here and in England, I was lucky to see 1000's of shows. Also I saw someone posted about Jello Biafra, I saw him speak at Case Western when I was a teen, the inspired me to become an activist!

Have loved punk since I was 13. Now I'm that weird old guy in the back at punk shows lol. Faves include misfits, descendants, NOFX, bad religion and the dead the dead milkmen.
