Snooping again, huh?
Nosey the Emu is quite the neighbourhood C.I.A. agent around this area...LOL.
She IS almost on a par with the neighbour we all call, NOT so lovingly btw, Mrs. Himmler ( a Male Snooper btw,) but not so regular as Mrs. Himmler though.
@Triphid Well that face is priceless.
@Lilac-JadeCanada That is the face and expression of most Emus.
@Triphid I realize that, but it's still funny.
@Lilac-JadeCanada Emus are one the most curious of birds in Australia, they will, and are often, known quite widely to most deliberately come and check out anything and everything that attracts their attention no matter what it may be.
One trick I learned from the Australian Aboriginals to catch an Emu is to hide behind a bush, throw some dust into the air every so often and then wait quietly, an emu WILL come, often bringing his fellow flock member along with him or her to check out what is happening.
Even using a spotlight at night when hunting Foxes, etc, IF there are Emus around they will run straight towards and at the light and go so far as poking their heads inside the vehicle when they get here.
And people say that Curiosity Killed the Cat, to that I laugh because imo, they've never met an Emu....LOL.
@Triphid So no fear of humans, I take it.
@Lilac-JadeCanada That'd be a bit of a Yes and No situation imo.
Their curiosity often seems to over-rule their natural caution at times.
@Triphid Like our deer here....they've lost most of their fear of humans, & walk all over the streets without too much concern about traffic.
