5 years since I saw the light on Christianity and I’m sitting here thinking what am I most thankful since then.
The thing I believe I’m most thankful for is how I now view other people with differing world views from me. I now am able to respect people for their view even if I don’t understand or agree with them. I’m now able to stay in my lane and only worry about my problems instead of deflecting and trying to be a know it all and convert people to my point of view. Now if someone wants my help and advice I will gladly give it to them but I’m so glad I’m no longer trying to force my opinions down other people’s throats and can just respect their opinion and not think well if something bad happens to them they deserve it because they didn’t get right with god like I wanted them to.
I can look back now and think how crazy it was to even think like that.
Very intelligently put. It’s never easy finding a new way, especially when old ones are so embedded into us, either by self conditioning or from others.
So, you HAVE crossed from the "Dark-side" into the Light then.
Now you can see, feel and understand ALL that is truly Real, you can learn to love it, learn to enjoy it, learn to live with it and within it, you can become a part of it and it can become a part of you as well.
Hearty Congratulations on your completion of the Great and Wonderful Journey from Darkness into Light, Superstition, etc, into Reason and Oppression into Freedom.
Enlightenment is a wonderful thing. Happy for you!
I respect people unless they are idiots. I have no respect at all for their religious views. I am aware that we all live in a silly season world.
Understand your point
