August the 8th is creeping up on me, another year another birthday. Whilst I'm not that old, some days I feel alot older than I really are. Some of my interactions with others and in particular young people in their twenties, make me feel ancient. For instance, the lingo of kids these days. My one friend's younger cousin greets others by saying meow, whereas most people usually just say hi or how's things going for you? He said that to me and had to ask him what he meant by that, and he responded by saying that's how alot of other kids my age greet each other nowadays.

Another random example... A few days ago I got stuck in a long line at the local grocery store, and a young man ahead of me in the line started talking to me. One thing led to another and the topic of vacations came up, and I mentioned that I still have many polaroid moments from some of my favorite vacation destinations. Now, anyone over age 30 or so knows what the term polaroid moment means, but this kid who looked to be in his early twenties looked at me like I was an alien or something when I said that, and of course he asked me what that was and I explained it to him.

Anyways, I digress. Here's a song I'm sure most on here would be familiar with, it's called Time Passages by Al Stewart. That song makes me nostalgic, some days wish I could go back in time. As mentioned in the song, there's something back here that you left behind...
