Keep to plants & this is a moot point. Even fish will raise ones mercury intake, as per Howard Stern's elevated number. I don't get why so many just won't slowly give up the consumption of carcasses. "I like it" is their retort.

@MsKathleen I buy mainly organic produce. Growing my own wouldn't work. Even my plastic plants die.

@MsKathleen you live in Arizona. I live in Chicago. We have this thing called winter that lasts for about 9 months.

Interesting but I try to avoid beef

bobwjr Level 10 Aug 18, 2021

Once I ate grass fed and finished with organic grain beef I can't eat "commercial" beef. Even so I eat beef very rarely, usually just get the ground beef from the local farmers and use it to make tacos or enchiladas.

I haven't eaten meat or poultry in over 20 years. I will eat eggs if they're organic and certified humanely raised. I feel so much better than I did before. I try to stick to real food avoid the highly processed stuff, white flour and sugar. It's a lot easier than people think, because you begin to appreciate the taste of real food, as opposed to the over sugared, over salted and chemically laden typical diet..

@TheoryNumber3 We have wegemans here can get organic buffalo and beef

@bobwjr Thanks, but I have no interest in contributing to the inhuman treatment and murder of animals in the food chain.
