Who is 'uncle touchy' (Biden)?
In some countries churches are actually subsidized. In Germany when one belongs to a church they get assessed a church tax. A neighbor once told me he left any church affiliation as the tax not only involved an annual fee but even his property as assessed and he had to pay a tax on that. Funny, when one pays the tax and attends a church a basket for offerings is still passed around.
In this country churches not only get to be tax free (as their supposed status as non-profit (but not non-prophet) they also do not fill out the 990 form that the IRS requires.Also, being a 501
4 gives them privileges the normal 501 3 do not give. There is even some leeway in making political statements on politicians and/or issues. If most legitimate non profits were to say not give certain items (like communion hosts) to it's members it would get taxed immediately. I think the IRS is actually afraid of religion and being seen as anti-religious. Of course all churches (Moslem, Buddhists, Satanists and on) get this break.

In Australia the prime minister is a member of the hillsong cult and not only does he not tax them but they get special government grants and allowing people off a cruise ship where there was covid 19 spreading that across three states in Australia. Not to mention restricting public events starting after a hillsong cult gathering and ending before the next one It is sickening.
Time to cut all grants to churches and if they want to mention politics from the pulpit then they get taxed.
No one is able to confirm the fact of some of the passengers being linked as the government was refusing to comment which sort of says yes because if the answer was no they would have announced it.

Who knows for certain exactly how much of OUR Tax money has been ferreted off to Hillsong and its off-spring churches here and elsewhere under ScumMo's MIS-Government.
Not quite true. Where the religion is established or very long-standing like the Catholics. Bishops will live in grace and favour houses worth millions.

we could pay for so much even if they estimated the income by seats or # of seats

Oh, sorry I forgot they CHARGE a Tax, they call it a Tithe ( which MEANS a Church Tax btw. since Tithe, Levy, Tariff, Tax, etc, ALL mean the exact same thing.
@Canndue And I was referring to the churches NEVER having paid 1 brass razoo in taxes since they were first invented, the churches NOT the taxes btw.
And, btw, when a church expects every member of the Congregation to cough their TITHES, they are, in ALL reality expecting them to pay a CHurch Tax, since Tax, Tithe, Levy, Tariff, etc, etc, ALL mean exactly the same thing.
