This is a verbatim account of the somewhat heated discussion I over-heard between Evangeloon and his lapsed Catholic Lady-friend whilst enjoying my breakfast on my front veranda this morning.
All this after Elizabeth and I had a good long chat yesterday afternoon while Evangeloon, who was called out to help a male friend of his who needed someone to help him lay a concrete path at his house.
We discussed Evangeloon's patently obvious domineering male ideologies and how he bases them on the bible, etc, and she talked in depth about her up-bringing in her S.E. Asian family where woman are expected to be completely subservient to men, especially their husbands.
She was very amazed and interested, imo, when I said to her, " You ARE no longer in the country of your birth, you have been Naturalised and are an Australian Citizen now, shed those archaic teachings, they are trash, rubbish and garbage imposed upon women to foster, nourish and boost the egos of weak and stupid men, become the person you know you can be, stand up for yourself, do not let someone else order you around UNLESS they are your employer and then they should show you some due respect anyway, do NOT let the like of Matthew Payne dominate you, control you and virtually enslave you, you are you, you are free, grasp the concept, hold fast to it, foster it, nourish it and never let go of it."
And, I may be wrong, but from what occurred this morning, I think my words may well have sunken in, started to sprout and have bloomed overnight as well.
