Free will means you make your own choices based on nothing but the information you receive and your own free willed thoughts. Yes? (If I got it wrong, please enlighten). But to assume that science has no factor into the choices that we make sounds like an explanation of magic. IMHO. Do you believe in free will? If so or if not, why?

free will means you can choose to be ignorant.

This question comes up a lot in the vaccine community.

Free will is the possibility to have made a different choice to a choice you have made in the past. This is what I understand free will to mean.

I think we're bound somewhat by our own biology... Instincts drive us to do certain things; but in the end, we have control over our actions. Yes, we have free will, in a very literal sense. What else is there in telling?

Learned behavior is what we have. Our alternatives increase directly proportional to our education and wisdom.

Your life is yours to live as you see fit. You can rely on rationality, reason, logic and facts, or you can rely on faith, or some combination of the two to inform your decisions. Whether you think you have free will or not, you do. Circumstances can change your situation, but ultimately what you do is your choice.

Translated literally it makes some sense. However when used in context of religous influence in a debate it is flawed as it is no longer literall but an expression of a level of determination usually out of the control of the less economically fortunate / developed nations. In my experience. E.g. I worked with a Catholic girl who claimed Africa being poor was a product of Free Will and that people deserved to be poorer as simply didn't work as hard as her. That was her definition of Free Will in theological and economic terms.

I think determinism is a fact. Causes have effects. But given the nature of human life and the total number of possible variables, then the possibility of creating a mattemitcal model to predict human actions is improbable. So, effectively, yes.
