I sure hope our hospitals are staying on top of this threat...
A ransomware group—formerly known as Arcane and Eruption—has rebranded to Sabbath, and has been attacking healthcare, education, and natural resources sectors in Canada and the U.S. since June.-

We had a problem 4 yrs ago , we were told to change r passwords and everything else , and it was quiet a big deal .
Can be scary facing such a situation like that.
Being that article talked about hospitals facing such attacks, thought you might be interested in that.
@SpikeTalon Most trauma / code teams are checking hourly equipment / supplies and are anxious that everything in place etc . Not me . Every night I go in , #1 priority “ who is on from IT “. Bcz my dumb ass can deal w trauma crisis , no worries . Anything that goes wrong w my system / program / computer / communication / epic and I am done . Useless and in panic mode . IT guys and girls are gods to us . Personally I kiss their ass regularly , and thank gods they either love me or they used to my anxiety , bcz nothing says love better than “ calm down ma’am , I got u , will fix it for u “.
Who needs Jesus when IT guy around ?
Cyber attacks are above my pay grade . No matter how many x they explained to me . So I just click on nothing and sit there like an idiot if crisis .
@Pralina1 Yeah, Mister Jesus is useless, IT support much better. I'd try to help if you had any questions on cyber security or smartphone security stuff, but not sure how quickly I'd be able to get back to you though.
@Pralina1 This is a somewhat lengthy read, but worth reading if you get a few spare minutes-

Multi-factor or two-factor authentication can help better secure your accounts. 2F auth saved my GMail account on my phone, not sure where the breach originated (I suspect there could have been a data breach at my hospital), but a strange device from a far away location attempted to log into my email account, and the 2F auth prevented them from gaining access, and afterwards I changed my login password to one that is really long. That was the closest I ever came to a hack attempt, and that happened back in September of this year.
Spike, the free market encourages creativity. Do you want to change that?
I wouldn't call that creative, I'd call it criminal. The free-market system is meant to benefit both parties involved...
