Well, sadly it looks very much like the Shooting Epidemic in the United States of Absurdity is mutating rapidly since the Rittenhouse debacle.
What does the score stand at NOW?
3 Shootings in 3 weeks, how many INNOCENTS lives lost or shattered totally UNNECESSARILY and WHY?
BECAUSE a Judge deemed a teenager ARMED with a FULLY LOADED, Military style AUTOMATIC RIFLE to be INNOCENT of BOTH Murder and Attempted Murder BUT was ACTING in Self-Defense.
And now, with thanks to that JUDGE there are families in Michigan at this very moment MOURNING the NEEDLESS DEATHS of their INNOCENT children thanks to a fellow student ARMED with a SIG 9mm AUTOMATIC presumably purchased for him as a XMAS Present by his PARENTS.
Nice one U.S.A. imo, you need not worry aboutv Terrorist Attacks in the future, why should they bother when you are doing THEIR jobs for them?

In what is/was generally regarded the most affluent country in the world (USA) 70% of the population are on prescription drugs. I recall reading an article that stated that 53.2 million people in the US were on illegal drugs. Given those figures something does not quite add up and gives the impression of one big therapeutic state.

Still does NOT explain the U.S. obsession with carry a gun/firearm with you where ever you and blasting away at innocent people then getting off the charges because some Snowflake Judge decides it was Self-Defence when NO-ONE else was carrying or pointing a weapon at the murdering little scum-bucket anyway.

@Triphid Khyle Rittenhouse's horrific actions is one of a catalogue of such tragedies in the US. There are those who claimed 'temporary insanity' and escaped the legal consequences of their actions. Even if the Second Amendment were revoked tomorrow I suspect that there would be an initial drop in the number of violent deaths but wonder how long it would be before the figures increased.

In the UK in 2017 an official report linked the number of stabbings to drug gangs (turf wars) and social media.

There are all kinds of explanations for human behaviour and criminal activities, however, explanations do not reduce the number of incidences of violent crime much less provide solutions. If it is not guns or knives that are the cause of death then it will be by some other means. Human history shows that we are a violent species with a few thousand wars in the past three thousand years.

I recall a news article that was published a decade ago in which it was stated: "America Has Been At War 93% of the Time – 222 Out of 239 Years – Since 1776"

I do not think that the sedation of the senses by legal or illegal use of drugs will address the problem of violence in any society and may exacerbate it.

It’s all our “Right to Lifers” who apparently just want more targets for their “Second Amendment” rights to carry a gun 24hrs a day and shoot anyone who makes them nervous.

Yep

@Lorajay Imo, the very sick and sadly diseased mentally of the Gun-owners of the U.S.A. and the N.R.A.

It’s a uniquely American solution to world overpopulation.

If that be so then why don't all you white, descendants of European Invader just take your guns and blow your own brains out then?

@Triphid Think! Too few of us would do it your way. LOFL

@yvilletom Not "my way" at all, not even interested in suicide, etc, FYI, seen way too many of them in my time and what is left behind in the way of grieving relatives and friends, etc.
My suggestion was that IT may well save the U.S. Nation some time and that extra effort of Court Trials, etc, though and the rest of the civilized people of the world from seeing the mayhem, etc, and grieving over it as well.

@Triphid Your comment will belong to you until you delete it.

@yvilletom Why does it bother you somewhat that I have such an opinion of your country and its rampant insanity?

@Triphid Period. Full stop

@yvilletom Sorry male and masculine here ergo NO periods.
