Artificial wombs are a transhumanist's dream. As impressive as prosthetic limbs are, they're mostly an adaptation of already existing robotic arms. Artificial wombs are to natural wombs as dialysis is to kidneys (except in reverse: rather than chaining you to a machine, it unchains you from the hassles of carrying a child). It also is of particular interest to me as an infertile woman for obvious reasons. If Musk makes them as accessible as electric cars are, I am very likely to be a customer (if not of him, than of one of his competitors).
