Aw so sad, Jesus Jockey, Messiah Moron, Evangelidiot, call him what you will is unable to go out and bring his vehicle back because around sunset last night the whole region around B.Hill copped a well awaited rain-storm that dropped approx. 38.6 mms of rain (roughly 1 and 1/3 rd inches) of rain in just under 3 hours.
At present ANY and ALL Non-sealed,( un-tarred) roads in the area are CLOSED to all BUT essential and emergency vehicles until further notice.
Maybe it is a good thing you don't have a vehicle or you may have ended up becoming a chauffeur. Now that would have been a story to tell.
Even IF I had a vehicle capable of going out and retrieving his vehicles
i would NOT do so because,
a) I'd first need to phone and get permission to enter on to the Property,
b) I value my many decades of friendship with the numerous Sheep and Cattle Graziers around here more than having Evangelidiot as a neighbour, and, last but by no means least,
c) as Evangelidiot is so readily telling everyone at EVERY opportunity, " He needs NEVER worry because all he needs do when in trouble or strife is ask Jesus and Jesus ALWAYS comes to his aid."
@Betty Well since I have, unfortunately, had him as a next door neighbour now for 10 + years, tried to seen him go through friends like a mouse through a grain silo, i.e. befriend, use, ridicule and then when of no further use to him literally do his best to destroy them as a person both mentally and emotionally then as a Psychologist and a person I'd most regrettably have to say he has no TRUE redeeming qualities.
@Triphid There is no help for those who refuse to acknowledge they have need of it. The denial of those who are deeply damage can be impenetrable.
From what little I know of you, I can surmise that you have offered and done everything in your power to be of assistance. There is nothing you can do but watch the downfall and hope there is something to be learned.
He does have one quality. He has given you stories that have entertained. Anything that can give a chuckle and/or laugh has value.
@Betty Well, let us begin, if you don't mind, at when he first arrived here.
His first act of, imo, was to LOWER the ground level of his property by anywhere between 8 inches and approx. 18 inches looking from front of property towards the rear fence, his house and yard, in actual FACT it belongs to his mother until she dies and then it becomes his according to his mother btw, are approx. 3-4 inches lower than those surrounding because it was originally built upon the edge of, and including a small, natural water-shed, so logically, anyone would, rather than lower the ground level, raise it and leave a small channel open for the run-off from rains to travel through unimpeded, correct?
No, not Evangelidiot DESPITE advice given free by numerous residents who have lived in the city block for numerous decades.
Evangelidiot instead HIRES a Bob-cat and 2.5 ton Tipper Truck, states that he KNOWS exactly how to operate it because he, quote, " Comes from over on the East Coast and is not some stupid Idiot from a town out in the middle of nowhere," and sets about LOWERING the ground level in his property by removing almost every scrap and grain of the top-soil in it, which as you can guess in a semi-desert region like this, is as rare almost as chicken's teeth.
Now it may be worth mentioning that the house he is living in, like mine was built in the late 1890's, 1898 to be exact, when building materials were hard to come by and most people used what ever they could access, such as native stone, etc, and what ever skills they had and shared amongst each other.
The main outer walls of his house are mostly made from native stone held together with a cement type mortal that is, for the most part, extremely hardy and weather resistant BUT prior to him there was a couple with a child who both had A.D.H.D and parents who were most interested in themselves and " doing Gods work" than, imo, raising their child, so being bored the child set about chipping away at the eastern outer wall, breaking the seal formed by this EXTRA tough and strong mortar and removing the stones from the wall.
The ONLT response from his parents, " Don't do that Patrick you are making a mess."
And Evangelidiots first act upon moving was, NOT to immediately repair, etc, the outer wall BUT to excavate approx. 7 tons of of good top soil instead. and now often complains that the damage to the wall is getting worse by the month and year.
@Triphid I knew he had value. You did not mention if his actions affected the boarding properties for which I hope not. They say you can't fix stupid and if you add stubborn to it and this is what you get.
What happened next with this very entertaining neighbor of your? Can't wait for the next installment.
