I don't care if you like the guy's stances on what-ever topic you wish to point at, but you can't deny he really is one of the most intelligent, mentally sophisticated and articulate speakers out there. He touches on many great points throughout this video, but he really got to the crux of it all right about the 13 min. mark as far as I'm concerned.. (Yeah, the irony wasn't lost on me 🥴) His take on the way the Christian Bible tries to explain the human mental condition through short stories, fables and even parodies is quite well done. Mr Peterson will surely go down in history as a great thinker.

One would think that a tree of knowledge would give knowledge and not some edible fruit.

Can you eat knowledge? No.

You can absorb it mentally though.

He says what he says to get paid. If he is as "great" a thinker as you posit, then he doesn't believe what he says.

Anybody who thinks this guy is a great thinker is as stupid as he is. And probably as sexist and as racist, too.

Yes I can, no he does not and I doubt very much he will.

He is a talented self promoting orator, an accomplished self publicist and a media game player, but ultimately he is a character, a personality who has stretched his 15 minutes of fame out for far longer than was or is good for him or anyone else. Furthermore he has made the mistake so many of his ilk make under such circumstances. He has started to take him own carefully crafted bull shit seriously and started to believe he actually has something to say.
If he was as wise as he likes to think he is he would have taken the money and run away to nostalgia town two or three years ago to enjoy he fruits of his ill gotten gains.

Hmmmm... Well, from the looks of your grade-school writing ability, I'm guessing he deserves the title of Academic, and the right to charge the fees he gets for speaking and will influence many more people to think as deeply as that than you will ever know. You just stick to your "retail professional" job.
That being said, no, I don't want my meal supersized. Thanks anyway. 🙄

@Captain_Feelgood OH Bravo, classic ad hominem, I am so contrite in light of your superior intellect 😟

@LenHazell53 Ahhh,...Then I suppose you don't consider referring to certain people as "ILK" to be an ad hominem then. In that case, I welcome you to the pile of dirty pots.

@Captain_Feelgood
Ah now I get it

So you thought someone in the bible ate an apple? A popular conception that was never mentioned in that book. No apple. Sorry.

@DenoPenno, @Matias
No, it was a mushroom.

@Ryo1 Damn snakes.

@Ryo1 Shrooms!

@dalefvictor i catch snakes in my yard and I try and force them to talk to me because I know who these serpents are. They can talk but they just slither away.

@Matias - A fig would certainly make more sense given the Middle Eastern origin of the story.
