Yes, Goal achieved today.
Decided, mostly out of necessity btw but also because I am a determined old buzzard as well, to make the effort and WALK to the Pharmacists and the Deli near my house, a round trip of approx. 4 City blocks.
Took quite a lot longer than it used pre- T.I.A. days, needed a few extra stops to rest and catch breathe, but made it there, got what wanted and needed and returned home safe but a bit tired none-the-less.
Even gave myself a 'treat' by buying for myself a curried egg and lettuce sandwich, been yearning for one from the Deli for almost a month now.

It will get easier as time goes on too.

That's a nice accomplishment, although I would have preferred that you had a friend with you. The first few times can be quite tiering until you rebuild your strength.
Please don't tell me not to worry. We did decide to be friends, so I will worry. I'm quite good at it. lol

I second this.

No need to worry about having a friend escort me, where I was going just about everyone around the place and the route I took everyone knows everyone else, it is that, as the Me-Me Generation don't seem capable of grasping and understanding, kind of a community where we know each other and keep an eye out for each other.
Plus instead of walking at my once "usual pace" as only stopping for 'breather" the once, my walking pace has slowed quite a bit and I stopped when I felt that I needed to as well.
Psst, don't tell anyone but Wheelie-bins that are empty and turned lay on their side make good seats to rest on for a spell, and Yes I [put them right way up BEFORE I leave.

@Triphid Just be careful. You're a new friend and I would like you to become and old friend. Stay safe. 😉

@Betty Careful as mice is how I have been, even was the same with today's outings as well.
And that one lasted from 8.00 am until just after 1.00 pm and boy did I do some travelling both by vehicles and on foot as well.

@Triphid Just be the smart man your are and take it in stages. Build up that strength and you'll be your old self in no time. Just be safe, I value this new friendship. 🙂

@Betty As do I also, trust me on that one.

@Triphid Don't forget, we somehow managed to be siblings half a world away. lol

@Betty My father must written your mother, at the very least one very nice and seductive letter somewhere along the line then...LOL.
Bloody glad he did btw.

@Triphid My father was not a very nice man and once my mom left him she would have anything to do with men. She didn't hate them, she just didn't trust them.
My father on the other hand couldn't keep his hands off of women.

@Betty Our families must have mirror images I'm beginning to think because in my family it was the mirror opposite.

@Triphid We seem to have some similarities. My mom was forty-three years older that me and raised me with the morals she developed. I think you dad did the same for you. 🙂

@Betty Yes my Moral codes, though I have added to them a bit now, came from Dad who got them from his Dad and so and so forth back through the paternal blood-line.
And, as Dad once proudly informed us all, they were ALL either Agnostics or Atheists.

@Triphid Although religion was part of my upbringing it was never forced or expected of me. It took me a while to realize that I not only refuted organized religion, I just didn't believe any of it. 🙂
