Online dating scam! Heads up guys!
A guy I work with was telling us about a woman(?) he was talking to on Zoosk? I think it was. Started with a Z. Zoosk sounds like a dating site for people into bestiality, but wouldn't put it past E. He does get really gamey in close quarters, and that might be why. This chick was chatting with him and had him hooked. She says shes a nurse in Iraq and had been involved with a surgery on a wealthy Iraqi businessman's son involved in an IED attack. He had given her a gem as thanks for helping to save his boy. She was sending it to him on the next U.N. transport because she couldn't bring it out of the country when she left. Would he keep it for her till shes back in the states?? Then he gets a call from some dude claiming to be with the U.N. and they need 2500 dollars to deliver the package. So he was really proud of him self for negotiating them down to just 250 dollars. So now he texted me they didn't show with his gem, and his girl is AWOL from her account and won't return any txt messages. What a Maroon!
There are so many scam artists out there. It takes a long time to get to feeling somewhat ok with someone online. This is not going to happen in a couple months or so. You would think most people would know by now, that anyone asking about anything related to money no matter what their fucked up sob story is, will know it is not going to end well.
I think they're teh funny.
I love it when a woman tells me I am the One for her, and that we are destined by God to be together. In my opinion, if God is doing the scheduling, he's not 100% on the ball (it's a joke, I don't think any such thing). I would also love even more if the woman actually meant it. And that kind of stuff just doesn't happen.
But I like to think of any social interaction as a change to brush up on my human skills, so I gladly play along until they need/want money, at which time I become bizarrely impecunious. I haven't succeeded in getting any money from THEM, either-and you'd think that a woman who adored me SO much could at least spot me a little cash. Hell, I can probably get an ex-girlfriend to do that.
I have been on Zoosk again-less scammers than most. If they won't talk on phone they are most likely Nigerian scammers. I had one 7 years ago and recently had one here. Don't text, email and get their voice on phone w accent. The second they mention money drop them.
