Well the Christfool numb-nuts received my written costs estimate regarding repairing his wood-heater yesterday afternnoon.
Knowing before-hand that he had done the rounds of EVERY Metalworking Business and backyard Welder, etc, in town I set about first ringing the Metalworking shops and getting some info and price, etc, suggestions, then the backyard workshops, etc, etc, and got almost exactly the same response when mentioning his name, "That f***ing arrogant Wanker, wouldn't touch him or any job he wanted done with a 40 foot pole, he owes so much money to all os us that IF he were pay up we could all retire and live like kings."
The Metalworking Businesses were just a "complimemtary" as well only their language was much harsher and stronger.
I guess Evangelidiot is about as popular around here as a dose of the clap in a Nunnery.
I won't bore you the details of the cost estimation, etc, etc, but, after going on advice received the sum total stands at $612.00 not including any unexpected extras such as unseen repairs that will need to made.
Handed the Religio-tard my estimation as well as my firm statement that he shall, if he accepts my quotation, etc, he SHALL deliver the wood-heater to my work-space and then IMMEDIATELY depart and ONLY return once informed that the job has been completed BUT he MUST pay a MINIMUM of 55% of the total costings quoted UP front and in Cash BEFORE delivering the wood-heater AND have readily available then and there the remain 45% plus the costs of any unforeseen extra repairs, etc, in available CASH in hand as well or the wood-heater can, by LAW, be held in my charge until his bill is paid in full.
I'd guess he will burn fuel and tyre rubber today as he races around town to find a better price and deal that will not be there at all.
And tell me off if you wish BUT as small modicum of vengefulness for myself, Liz and the young teenager he ripped off recently, I have started my nice warm and cosy wood burning fireplace already and the soft breeze is gently blowing scent of the mixture of red Gum and Cypress pine across and into his yard so that he too can smell that my fire is burning and unlike him I am warm and comfortable.
If you insist on helping this person out, then covering all possible bases would be wise.
Your contract should also state that... If the bill, which includes incidentals is not paid in full within 30 days of the repairs completion, you are then free to sell said wood-heater to recoup the loss of funds.
With his tract record, this would at least protect you from losing any profit you could have made.
Nicely put.
@anglophone Thank you.
Already covered those bases and a few more besides such he MUST hand over the cash money to me for the tools, etc, required PRIOR to handing over his wood-heater for me to repair.
NOT that I don't already have on the tools, etc, but I dearly want to make him pay through the nose as he has done to his very much ex-girlfriend Liz and the other young and trusting teenage boy that he used as a labourer/come slave and mule and failed to pay as well.
I know Liz will be getting fully recompensed because I was talking her on the phone not less than 20 minutes ago and her Case went through Arbitration today and she received a very favourable judgement which includes ALL monies owed, plus accrued interest, plus Legal Fees and personal out-of-pocket expenses as well.
Sadly the young lad has not got access to such records of the matter, etc, and cannot provide enough verifiable evidence to support such a claim in court, so I've decided to do my utmost to get him the monies he is owed via the Wood-heater repairing job, which in ALL honesty WILL only take me about 1 to1 and a half hours to complete and cost me a minimum of between 25 and 35 dollars as well.
Don't do it.
If the Evangefool fails to pay, then @Triphid may be entitled under New South Wales law to hold on to it. There is a similar law about motor vehicle repairs in Western Australia. The item can then be sold by the repairer to defray the cost of repair.
In a word, Triphid has got the Evangelidiot by the short and curlies.
@anglophone Yes already checked in to that and you are 100% correct as well.
@anglophone Oh and the Court Sheriff also informed me that HE will personally deliver to Evangelidiot the Writ of Seizure on my behalf as well.
Hmm. Refusing to pay his debts. Hmm. 'Tis a pity that debtors prisons have been abolished.
If the other vendors have proof of monies owed by the "fool", they should get together and sue him for those amounts plus interest and possible damages if the courts agree that this is a pattern of behaviour.
A crying shame if you were to ask me because I would relish taking him some crusts of extremely stale bread and some very mouldy and rotting cheese as a " friendly" gift....LOL.
