I would think if evangidiot had half a brain he would have called before leaving to make sure Paul was expecting him as a common courtesy before leaving, and just doing that courtesy woudl have saved him the (expensive) trip.

@Jolanta Karma has never backfired on me. What I have observed is that people very rarely change. I also have an issue with anybody trying to take advantage of me, or in this case Payne trying to take advantage of Triphid's good nature by way of moral blackmail.

@Jolanta FYI, ever since he moved out here to live EVERYBODY, and I do mean EVERYBODY that has either tried to welcome him, treat him decently, etc, etc, has gotten treated like SHIT in return or even worse.
For example, I learned that he was only getting the Dole payment each fortnight, well that I what he told everyone, including me, and with the colder weather coming on I thought I could and should do the right thing and get permission from a Sheep Grazing property whose owner has been a good and great friend for decades, take him out and help him by getting us both a few loads of firewood a couple of times each winter.
Yeah fine, UNTIL he started using my kindness and my friends goodwill to earn himself extra cash money by sneaking out late in the afternoons, loading up with fire wood and then selling it around town for cash.
And how did I learn about this, simple, he made a mistake and gave a customer MY phone number instead of his.
Out of that I almost lost the decades long friendship and respect of a family I had known since the Property was in the name, not the of the son, but of his father.

You are correct...Mr. Payne could have avoided the mess he got himself into if only he would have used the monies from his secret accounts to have his wood-burner repaired. Instead he tried to get money from other sources thinking they would take pity on him. @Betty, @Betty Not really as I was informed yesterday by the father of the Aboriginal family whom he has been harassing on and off ever since they moved in to the neighbourhood about 5 months ago.
I often have a chat with them if they are out in their front yard when I go past on a walk, the father and I often chat over the fence as he walks past my house and vice versa but yesterday he was not his usual self, more like sad, troubled, etc, etc, so I asked him in for a coffee to try to at least cheer him him uo some how.
The tale that unfolded was far worse than I even knew given how the Evangelscum has been heard boasting to some "friend" over his cell phone of his victories over a " Stinking, filthy black Coon family who dared to move in to the same area as he lives."
Also their youngest child, a girl aged 9 years was subjected to a tirade of utterly disgusting comments, many of them racial in nature, by Evangelscum when she was walking home from school recently, the girl had enough nous to use her mobile phone to actually record it all and that matter is now in the hands of a Law Firm.
