Oh dear,it seems very much like Sky Daddy and son are not his greatest fans today after all.
Evangelidiot just came to my door, locked and secure thankfully, because his vehicle has developed a problem, there is a strange grinding sound coming from the rear end of the vehicle whenever he puts it in to gear and tries to drive the vehicle in any direction.
Now I'm no trained Auto Mechanic, just was once a Carriage and Wagon Examiner on the Railways BUT I had a car that once had a bearing collapse on one of the rear axles and that description seemed to ring a bell.
I did not have the heart to tell him but I think his getting stuck in the thick and very sticky mud on the weekend PLUS a lack of regular maintaining of the vehicle has resulted in a collapse bearing on one of the rear axles.
A relatively easy job to fix and repair but a time consuming one as well BUT you do need the RIGHT tools, etc, for the job, the ability and knowledge to be able to remove the axles from its housing and a way to press the new wheel bearing onto the shaft once you've gotten rid of the old bearing.
But I was most definitely NOT going to tell him that I knew how to do it since I do NOT intend to be his eternal servant nor slave by doing so.
