I am tired of hearing that assault rifles are needed to hunt pigs and coyotes. If that were their actual use, we wouldn't have one feral hog or coyote left.
We started licensing cars because they could harm property and life and we needed a way to identify them. We started licensing drivers, because it made sense to ensure that if we were going to allow people to pilot a 2 ton missiles, they should be qualified. When people did not show the proper financial responsibility, we required that they carry insurance to cover damage they might cause. It is time that we do the same for gun owners.

Too bad 'Murikans can't stand "foreign" languages. An affront to their right to remain ignorant and arrogant.
It must be said...for my own sanity if nothing else....that 'Murikans do remain even now a numerical minority in the U.S. (the political system is just broken, resulting in these 'Murikans enjoyed outsized political power their numbers never actually justified.) I love our country, but we have a lot of problems that need solutions and ARE fixable. It is maddening to see so many self-declared "patriots" stupidly equate love for their homeland with immature xenophobic and ignorant attitudes toward other lands and cultures. Way to be childish.
