Senior Trump Administration advisor Peter Navarro first defied a congressional subpoena to testify before the Select Committee investigating the J6 insurrection. Navarro claimed executive priviledge, even though his former boss, the Done Cheato, did not invoke executive privilege for Navarro. In any case, a grant of privilege would have to be approved by the current president, and Joe Biden rightly nixed that. Also, Navarro publicly discussed the plot to steal the election (he euphemistically called it "the Green Bay sweep" ). He talked about on national TV, and he wrote about it in his recently released book. Discussing in public the same content that the Committee seeks to hear under oath automatically waives executive priviledge. Then Navarro defied a DOJ subpoena to testify before a grand jury. Predictably, the DOJ arrested Navarro. He had been about to get on a plane, but he left the airport in handcuffs. Then Navarro complained loudly that his arrest was "unconstitutional." Of course, that holds as much water as his claims of executive priviledge.
Utter BULLSHIT that DOJ won't indict Meadows and Scavino. If we don't have a functioning justice system, we don't have a government. Basically, the DOJ is giving up on its mandate. Good bye USA. You've probably been an illusion for decades. Now the shit really flies as the vultures line up to pick the bones....
Meadows already provided a large mass of materials in including documents and text messages. His testimony is probably not needed (though it would be nice).
We live in interesting times, and it's exhausting. I hope they hang Navarro by the short hairs.
I hear you about the exhaustion. But that's exactly what Trump and his minions are counting on. We have to stay focussed and engaged so these bastards can he brought to justice.
