I noticed on some YouTube videos that still pictures had edits that made the person blink, or raise an eyebrow, half-smile, drop a tear, etc. These were videos of missing persons, and these edits are being used to show age progression and to add "emotion" which may jog memories in the viewer, in case they may know something about said missing person. I noted this was a new thing, then forgot about it.
I just ran across the story of how, and for why, this is possible (and happening.)
(Yes, I understand the nafarious side to AI, I still think this is cool.)
