My children and I are all Athiest.
However, it is a choice they came to in their own.
I took them to multiple churches and religious sects so they could learn and discover on their own. I enjoy religion and religious history. We can learn a lot about our society and people this way. Along the way I’ve met some great inciteful people. We’ve been to about every religion on the planet except I didn’t break down all the versions of Christianity.
I don’t feel it’s a problem to present things to children. We all figured it out after all.
At 5 years old my daughter said Dad, “there is no god because he created cavemen. Cavemen are all dead so he’s dead too. But dad! I know Santa Claus is real because I get a lot of presents and you and mom are broke.”
Hahahahaha
Oh the reasoning of a child is priceless.
Is only preventing this, will make the world change? .... All the wars, that have been, and the prisons that are filled, and the injustice that we see today, was caused by religion only? ....The child, does not affect him, only that hour studying religion, Too many and complex factors it is what build the human personality
There are those that say that I taught my kids atheism. I just tell them that they were born that way.
This has happened in some societies. In Cuba, my native country, the state very much clamped down on religious people. I’m not certain that this experiment has been proven to be a total success. It may be that non-religious upbringing is a necessary condition for a freer, more advanced society, but it’s not sufficient to achieve it.
