Why does the three abrahamIc sects and Its dogmas dIffers so much? WhIch one Is rIght and whIch one wrong? Or Is It that all r wrong?
I know of Jews and pre-Mulsims came from Abraham. Who is the 3rd? If you mean Christianity, they sprang from Judaism. As to why they are different -- it is simply one group looking down its collective nose and feel better response to another group, or one group says a blue and the other says a red hat. Whatever they end up killing each other. Between religion and resources it would be hard to say which has the most kills.
As to the dogmas, they grew up over centuries so they become more and more divergent. Since they still communicated and traded they learned each others dogmas and went a different way -- sometimes -- there is a lot that is similar between religions.
As to personal beliefs, everyone is correct, which makes everyone wrong, hence they can only be correct for themselves.
For my two cents....all are phony, religion is cancer to mankind, and I suspect will be the end of mankind........
Well, I saw an atheist video where the speaker put things into context by referring to the bible as the "Desert Goat Herder's Guide to the Universe".
Abrahamic religions were written for a specific group of people in a specific time period and reflected the culture of that time period. modern morals and ethics have greatly surpassed those written as law in the bible whose writing are now very much culturally antiquated.
For me (all I can answer for) they are wrong... Misleading, annoying distractions (gaffla) obscuring and taking up time and more for consideration, appreciation for what is real.
Invisible friends period, promises of hokey, ambiguous after life....
And for the planet, humans period; I also sense that all Abrahamic belief systems are worse than a waste of resources; they denigrate the human condition; lead to conflict, and disallow quality of life for all people and too much of the living world.
How much better t'were their no gods... Vis a vis Lennon's "Imagine" for instance.
