The United Kingdom's Department of Education has (finally) decided "If a school cannot prioritize pupils' educational needs above archaic and fundamentalist religious dogma, it must be closed down."
This comes in the wake of the prohibition of Salafi activist run, Redstone Educational Academy found to be ‘inadequate’ in 2019 and not meeting the independent school standards. Inspectors said pupils were not safe, boys and girls were illegally segregated by sex and that boys were “treated favourably and have more privileges”.
The report found that the school knew its segregation of pupils was illegal.
Salafi is an extremist form of Islamic jihadist fundamentalism, the propogation of which in the UK is carried out by the Abu Khadijites cult aka [Salafi publications] founded and run by one Waheed Alam in 1996.
The school proprietor of the Redstone Educational academy and Redstone Educational Services Ltd, which owns and runs Redstone Educational Academy is Abu Khadeejah AKA Waheed Alam the same Waheed Alam.
In the tears between 2015 and 20019 Alam produced and published via print and internet several sermons that showed his aversion to the LGBTQ population and distaste for women's rights. For example, he is known for preaching that women who have adopted the ways of Western society are worse "even than the beasts" and equating homosexuality with paedophilia and referring to both as ‘unnatural temptations’”.
His conduct was “so inappropriate that, in the opinion of the Secretary of State, it makes Mr Alam unsuitable to take part in the management of any school.
Inspectors found the owner “does not deny holding these views”
“It is therefore, the view of the secretary of state that Mr Alam would be unable to comply with his safeguarding responsibilities, and relevant legislation and guidance if he were to hold a school leadership role.”
Therefore Waheed Alam has been handed a prohibition notice. It prevents him from being involved in the running of any private school or from being a governor of a state school.
This has effectively scuppered Waheed Alam's plan to open a girls academy for Muslim girls to teach correct social behaviour for females.
