Dogs domestic and wild.
Been chainsaw carving alot of custom dogs lately. Funny how many know their dogs, more than their own children.
There no such thing as a lone wolf, for without the pack a lone wolf will die. Many humans feel they can not survive without their tribe, also. They may turn to politics or religion for false social gathering of security. Like humans of very social creatures such as coyotes, dingos, wolves and foxes. They occupied the second largest land territories second to human beings, on earth.Dogs are closest in contact of human like emontions. I prefer to be like the wild free dog rather than end up being too fat, or chained up and owned domestic dog.
ALL dogs love, and are faithful if treated with love and kindness. Golden Retriever are my favorites.
Dogs are the source of 99% of human rabies deaths, estimated 55000 human deaths annually worldwide, about 3.5 million dog bites India is rated highest for rabies.
I love animals especially dogs, and often more than people.
How much do you love dogs?
Dogs are my life, my world. We have 6 dogs plus a foster dog. Our work involves lots of dogs. We support many rescues. I would give up my life to save a dog. I don't like humans at all.
Dog spelt backwards is goD.
I'm sure your dog would give up his life for you, to protect you. A cat would probably hide.
@Castlepaloma I would rather not think about god. thanks. I actually don't want my dogs to protect me. They are my children; I certainly don't want my children to be the ones protecting me. I'm always afraid that my dogs would try to protect me against someone or something and would get hurt in the process. Luckily, there has never been any incidents that would require anything like that. Interestingly, when dogs encounter me, they tend to think that I'm a dog. BTW, I have cats too.
@Castlepaloma This is the newest member of my family, Sultan. He is from Oman, formerly an Omani street dog, taken is by a rescue as a puppy. He just turned 2 in July. He surprisingly did very well in the extreme cold of Alberta winter but he does struggle in the summer with allergies to insect bites.
God is just a word, I would translate that to nature. Your dogs are family and seems like the ultimate love or centre of your world . Like my daughter is and my sculptures are to me. Knowing the dangers is controlling those dangers. Humans do require more work than anything, don't give up on them. You seen like a beautiful person , keep up the love and work.
I didn’t like dogs as a child, then my sister got rotties when I grew up, so appreciate them now.
Any chance you can post a piccy of a dog carving?
Would like to see one.
My wood lifesize fishermen are selling much faster than I can make them.
@Castlepaloma Thanks, that’s really cool and nice workmanship. Great that they’re selling well and people obviously appreciate them.
Thanks,
Like the photo of the man in the swamp with both thumbs up. He must be a member of our optimist club. Lol.
I like dogs (and humans) that are friendly and well-behaved. I don't like dogs (or humans) that are mean and behave badly. I like wild animals best of all.
I do not have an affinity for pets of any kind. I do enjoy wildlife and do what I can to protect wildlife. Most issues I have with pets, especially dogs, is not the fault of the animals but irresponsible pet owners.
Yes, pet owners are most or all at fault, dogs are easier to train than humans. One can even kick a dog and it will come back, where a human may not. Nothing is more loyal, friendly and gives unconditional love than a dog. Too bad I travel too much to own one.
@Castlepaloma I do not want anything I have to feed, clean-up after, take care of. Animal, vegetable or mineral.
@jlynn37
Not for everyone.
