"n a sermon delivered at the Islamic Center of South Florida (ICOSF) in Pompano Beach on March 23, Imam Hasan Sabri claimed that atheists were incapable of living a “wholesome life” and that we’re nothing more than “a worm in the body of Muslims.”

I repeat: He’s from Florida. "[Atheists] always belong to minorities — national minorities, religious sects or minorities, and they have an agenda of destroying this Islamic nation, so they adopt atheism, not because it makes sense, but because it serves their approach…"

Sounds like an article trying to get a person worked up.
I'd pass it up and go on, I have enough real problems going on to worry over the thoughts and opinion of one person.

Well, Joel Osmund, drump, et al, make speeches all the time saying weird stuff i totally disagree with and i certainly hope nobody thinks they are speaking for me! It always amazes me when some asshat makes a speech about something and haters of "his kind" or "her religion" jump up & point fingers As If they spoke for everyone within a 1000 miles

Truth is scary to these people, they will no longer be in control!

Most religious leaders, regardless of the faith, are intolerant of non-believers. This is not surprise.

What "Islamic nation"? The USA?
More theists demonstrating a lack of joined up thinking.
Why is it that the Abrahamics NEED to have someone persecuting them for their religion to make sense?
Or is that just my confirmation bias showing?

Bingo, you caught that. He's mainstream from Florida, was considered a moderate.

Another paranoid Muslim. What Islamic nation are we destroying? Is that nation here right now in the United States?

I do not think it fair to specify a religious affiliation with paranoia. There are many religious people who are equally intolerant of those who chose a belief that does not fit their personal choice of deity.

@Science-guy My point was that this Imam is in Florida USA and talking of those who would "have an agenda" to destroy this Islamic nation. As for paranoia, does any religion have an extreme unfounded fear of something?

@DenoPenno, in my opinion all religions are built and on fear and reprisal.

Islam is a very worrying religion, of all the religions.
