Because a majority come from violent backgrounds ,the music contains violence and the rapers themselves are highly competitive like gang members and many are drug abusers.

Lots of judgment and stereotyping here I see. I think Organist1 has it. They mostly come from poverty stricken more violent neighborhoods. I like some rap- not all, but some artists have a good message. Kendrick Lamar won a Pulitzer for his album titled Damn., with the board having this to say: "Recording released on April 14, 2017, a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life."

Rap music is noise pollution as far as I am concerned .The less of these profanity spewing swine the better.
