Yeah it's a very risky tactic. I think the money would be better spent on promoting good state-level Democratic candidates.

@Flyingsaucesir Good candidates, like Warner, are in tight races (according to polls, which I don't believe but one has to play to them just in case) so the tactic is sound. I like to think it will pay dividends but, if not, then States Of America was just a decrepit and misguided idea anyway. Nobody cared for the Democratic goals and preferred to mock those who did believe in them.

@rainmanjr There is no doubt that a wave of authoritarianism is sweeping the globe. But I don't think it will take hold everywhere.

@Flyingsaucesir Everywhere is a lot of ground but I'm only concerned with us. If Dem policies are so much in demand then why are races so tight against nutcases? The numbers from 2020 suggest the polls are simply wrong and Dems have even more to run on, now, than we did then but even Dems are mocking those accomplishments. I hope that stops but I was silenced (on a Dem site) while defending Dems. Liberals do not want to read views contrary to their own hate.

@Flyingsaucesir We are too busy pointing out the lane's crooked lines and can't put it aside to win the race. Ego. It might actually be the death of us.

@rainmanjr It's in Democrats' nature to form circular firing squads. Republicans are much more top-down oriented, exhibit much more disciplined conformity to the Party line.

@Flyingsaucesir My assessment is a bit beyond the immediate time as it's about attitude. Being satisfied, grateful, and picking up the desire for more when the time is right would be more helpful but that's not how gluttony goes.

@rainmanjr All that being said, Dems are doing better now than was expected only a few weeks/months ago. SCOTUS helped by overturning Roe.

@Flyingsaucesir I'm grateful the wop did that for us. Without it Dems wouldn't be looking good at all. That should tell us something about how much females care about actual freedom or democracy. It didn't matter until their body got involved. Males get that way because a draft is always possible. That being said, "Doing better" won't mean shit if we lose.
