Ban the Bible from libraries. I have never read the Bible. Is this true?

Even when read with its metaphorical intent, the wording could be likened to the words in the other potential "banned books" list, if one is going to make such a list.
Of course, none of the books should be banned if they have a purpose for their tale, moral to the story, etc. Books in a public school generally are chosen for some socially redeeming value, despite the icky parts, especially historical accounts which should be made available including the icky parts, since sadly that is part of our history.
Public libraries should have any and all books requested by the patrons. I grew up Catholic and to my knowledge we did not have a bible in the house. If I had been curious enough to want to read it, I would have had to read it at the library.
I was an adult before I read the bible all the way through, the parts that didn't put me to sleep disgusted me for the most part. Puzzling how the bible is such a popular book. I'm guessing it's most likely because it's seldom actually read beyond the popular passages.

The fake god's fake book should not be on a government book shelf. It should fill the trash cans and be burned. When I see those burnings happen then I'll give folks credit for doing something about their holy shit.

In context it’s a political diatribe about past behavior of Israel and Judah, not literal sex stuff. They seem to be blaming the victims (Two Kingdoms) for what Assyrians and Babylonians had done to them in the past, but put it in the guise of wrath of God the jealous lover. I could have some of the details off a bit as it’s been years since I was serious about biblical exegesis, but the metaphors used during the exodus and later really exuded a creepy stalker vibe for God’s feelings toward the Israelites then Jews.
@rainmanjr Refreshing my memory a bit, this passage is ripped from context of circumstances surrounding the Babylonian exile.
In a preliminary essay which introduces the book of Ezekiel in The Jewish Study Bible Tova Ganzel hit on basic themes but I think her outline pulls some sections that really stand out:
“D. Sins of the people that caused the destruction (6.1–7.27)
E. Acts of the people in the Temple (8.1–18)
F. Departure of the divine Presence from the Temple (9.1–11.25)”
[…]
“K. The allegory of Jerusalem as God’s adulterous wife (16.1–63)”
[…]
“O. Destruction of Judah and Jerusalem (20.1–24.27)”
My take is God got pissed because the perceived continuous adultery of his wife Judah/Israel and left the Temple building erected for him before it was destroyed. The quote in the OP comes from section O. The tears in his beer whining to whomever would hear it comes from a dangerously vengeful jilted lover perspective. Sort of stuff one would expect on Jerry Springer or in a criminal court proceeding, not from a so called “good book”. To think Christian Nationalists would want to make the US a New Jerusalem and put us into that creepy guy’s crosshairs. No thanks.
