Yep, it's puzzling. Well since I never used my twitter account, I'm keeping my $8 per month after canceling my account and I can sip passion fruit cocktails anytime I like, on the beach listening to music.
To me, that's more fun that having fame and fortune. I'm happy to be nearly broke all the time and fairly insignificant in the grand scale of things. To each their own.
@Gwendolyn2018 Yes, I was told way back in 2011 that in order to grow my business I really needed a Twitter account. So, I posted once, got 3 followers, and never posted again. It's really not something that enhances my style of business. I handle one client at a time, so if I want to get the word out about something important I simply contact my client for that day. It was a pleasure for me to cancel my Twitter account last week.
