"[Mrs Struhs] goes into detail about being told by her husband that if Elizabeth did not get her insulin, she would die," Magistrate Kay Philipson told the court.

During the committal hearing for another defendant, the court was told Mr Struhs had struggled when his daughter became ill but had been reassured by the religious group to keep his faith.

The court heard that Mr Struhs had not believed in the healing power of God until August 2021 and that a week prior to his wife's release from prison in December 2021 he had begun "embracing the healing".

Mr Struhs was probably told he was a controlling white male and needed to listen to his wife. She was going to be released from prison so was probably seen as strong. That god had protected her and he should believe in her. Women and religion. That's what this seems to indicate for me.

Lock them up and throw away the key, please. "The miracle of her rising?" Be honest and ask yourself how many have risen from the grave. Evidence shows none. People that make these claims have zero evidence. This shows me they do not live in the real world, nor in this century as one commenter has said. It appears they all had a sickness much worse than diabetes.

It’s like the religious nuts, especially in the UK, who persuade parents that their disabled children can be cured by prayer. I find that repulsive.

These people are not living in the 21st century; they're in the 12th.

Could be the shortest trial in Australia, prosecution sets out its case in one maybe two days, defense nil as they don't have lawyers, jury stand leave room decide in the hallway and walk back in with guilty unless of course it is packed full of religious nutters.

I hope they get life in prison. I hope they get tortured everyday for there time in prison.

They watched her die and did nothing to help the child. They all knew what she needed and refused to give it to her. They are trying to hide behind a religion to absolve themselves of guilt. Not one has expressed remorse and the justice system must take that into account when sentencing. I hope they all get the maximum sentence.
