One thing that always bugged me was the religious obsession with blood and flesh and sacrifice and all that. Sounds like it's been around since some cannibal cult or something. Blood of the lamb, blood and body of Christ, lambs blood on the door to keep out the plague, etc. Just creepy. Macabre and weird. Are they vampires? Cannibals? Carnivores with no sense of decorum? Why can't we have a nice Jesus free salad instead? Something low carb and sin free?
