Does Donald Trump remind evangelicals of their version of God. Trump's speaking style reminds me of southern or backwoods preachers. A lot of good ol'e days talk, my view/interpretation is the best one, the outsiders are destroying your way of life, anti intelectualism and anti science.
Christians internally perfer the vengeful, angry God. The God that kills people for the sin. Punish those who don't follow our rules. Trump is the God of the gaps. He is the embodiment of bottled anger and frustration that religous people have because God doesn't respond when they pray and God doesn't bless their "sinless lives".
