Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Plants have solar panels, but the energy they capture with them is only sufficient because plants do not move. It would simply not be enough energy for animals to live their active life. Animals have to consume energy in a concentrated form. Otherwise evolution would have invented at some time animals who can subsist on solar energy
