@FrayedBear He may well have said "Kismet, Hardy". Kismat (English spelling kismet) is an Eastern word (used in Turkey, Arabia, India ...) meaning "fate or destiny". Nelson was a realist, who was familiar with the concept from his travels. Hardy, too.
His less educated sailors would not have known the word.
As an aside, there is an area of London called "The Elephant and Castle". It was where King Henry the eighth's first wife lived. She was "The Infanta Castille".
