The great thing about court cases is that evidence is laid out methodically, and it all becomes part of the public record. So everyone can see the evidence. If the evidence is compelling, it makes it harder to argue that its all just a witch hunt. Will some people never be swayed, no matter what evidence is presented? Sure! But I think we can peel some away from the MAGAt base. Meanwhile, with a guilty verdict in hand, we can push back harder. Let's see how many MAGAt mother fuckers want to go to war on behalf of a convicted criminal. Plus we show the world that the USA really has rule of law, that no one is above the law. 
I want Trump jailed asap but whether the Democrats will be able to complete investigations and convict him to actually send him to jail "before 2024" is the big question.
The Justice department, New York, State AG, SDNY - none of these has been able to even complete its investigations and start a court case in spite of plenty of evidence. Do you really think the Democrats are able to prosecute and convict Trump? I think not.
It Trump was a Democrat, the Republicans would have put him in jail a long time ago. They deliver, That's why they keep winning.
@St-Sinner Uh, no, Republicans don't "keep winning." The MAGAts lost in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
Republicans might be good at jailing poor Black and Hispanic men, but they are also good at pardoning rich white men.
Done Cheato has been "invited" to testify before a grand jury in New York next week. This is normally the last thing that happens before an indictment is handed down. So it's kinda early to be saying that Trumpty Dumpty is getting off Scott free.
A DA down in Georgia says that "indictments are imminent." We'll see what that means.
DOJ's special counsel Jack Smith still has time to indict Trump. If it's going to happen, it has to be this year. Again, we shall see.
The logic is on our side but often the reality is not. If we are very righteous, virtuous and on the right side of issues and history, we should be winning hands down. But we don't. That 's the tragedy of what Democrats do.
@St-Sinner I don't think we should ever expect to score a resounding, unqualified, and lasting victory . Hell, we convincingly kicked the Nazis asses in WWII, and yet here they are popping up again 80 years later. The problem is that crime pays, so that motivation is always there. The battle between good and evil is an ongoing match between opponents of comparable capabilities.
