A new artificial intelligence (AI) tool has been found to accurately identify cancer, potentially speeding up diagnoses of the disease and improving patient outcomes.
The algorithm, designed by experts at the Royal Marsden NHS foundation trust, the Institute of Cancer Research, London, and Imperial College London, was first reported by The Guardian.
It was found to outperform current methods, said a study published in the Lancet’s eBioMedicine journal, adding to a growing body of research highlighting the positive potential impacts of AI on the medical field.-
