“America is a Gun,” Brian Bilston
England is a cup of tea.
France, a wheel of ripened brie.
Greece, a short, squat olive tree.
America is a gun.
Brazil is football on the sand.
Argentina, Maradona’s hand.
Germany, an oompah band.
America is a gun.
Holland is a wooden shoe.
Hungary, a goulash stew.
Australia, a kangaroo.
America is a gun.
Japan is a thermal spring.
Scotland is a highland fling.
Oh, better to be anything
than America as a gun.
It’s obviously not in their Constitution. Don’t make such a simple comparison to a complicated subject.
@Druvius You can’t simplify it like that. If gun ownership were not part of the Bill of Rights, it would be a simple matter to change, but it IS part of the Constitution, which is not easy to change, especially with so many red states. I do not disagree that it SHOULD change, just that it isn’t as simple a matter as @Petter or you are stating.
As for universal health care, we don’t have it because of greed…and the fact that most legislators are in the pockets of the health care industry. The only way to change THAT is to elect people who will not accept those political donations and are willing to institute what is a logical approach to health care. Citizens United MUST be reversed.
Try saying that to the National Ruffian Association.
And, in the first shooting, the father who owned the guns was immediately detained as well.
How do they accomplish that? Buy back guns? Mandate a return of weapons????
