I have always slept poorly;I don't expect it to change in this life.
My wife recently (last September) gave me a smartwatch mostly so I don't have to keep track of my phone. Any time I'm in Bluetooth range, my phone is on my wrist.
But it also comes with a bunch of toy functions. It tries to measure heart rate, blood pressure, step count and with my phone, text notifications. And it takes images and has an alarm clock, stopwatch, timer and music.
One of the things it tries to measure is sleep quality. By watching my motions and heart rate it tries to decide when I'm asleep and whether it is deep or light sleep and it keeps records of how it thinks I'm doing.
Truthfully its methodology is a little suspect but it does keep the question visible to help me pay attention to how I'm doing for sleep. It's nice to have an 'objective' rating of my sleep quality.
