I think sometime back there, I may have read this, because right down the line, I agree with every point, and still today, the reason I give people for not believing in religion, is not being able to follow a philosophy based on fear and guilt, or that mankind is inherently "evil".

Why no one can be of Jesus or dog(god) because in reality no one is capable of being absolutely moral and ethical!!!

I read this book decades ago and the biggest takeaway I had from it was the "first cause" question of who made god? Hopefully this book will remain in libraries for all to read.

BR makes many excellent points, the best of which he saves for last: that Christianity is based on fear. This helps explain why so many Christians are also acolytes of the Trump cult, which is also based on fear.
