Jesus died in Kashmir as a Budhhist monk.
He did not die on the cross, there was no resurrection, he did not ascend to heaven and he doesn't sit by the right hand of God.
According to some of the most respected biblical scholars there is a 50/50 chance that the story was based on an actual person who lived around that time. The birth story was probably added for effect as in earlier myths it was common for gods to be born from a virgin. He had to be born in Bethlehem "to fulfill prophecy" so the traveling to take part in a census part was added. He was called the Nazarene, a resident of Nazareth, but he wasn't born there and according to the story he lived in Egypt immediately after being born. Also it is thought that the town of Nazareth did not exist at this time.
Apart from the raising from the dead which obviously did not happen, the whole story is so full of holes that it is laughable but millions of people believe it. Crazy!!.
Sells a lot of gifts, though.....right?
At this stage of my life I cannot tell you where Jesus died or if there ever was a historical Jesus. I say this as a man who once studied for the ministry. I can fairly well attest to the fact that no man has risen from the dead.
Glad you got away from that business!
