When I was growing up, my parents told me that God made me in his image. I thought that was kind of funny as what type of monkey has the ability to create the Universe! Every seven days, we had to go to a building and sing songs to this invisible monkey so that he wouldn't be mad as us and send us to a place to be tortured forever after we die. That really scared me for a long time. Eventually, I found out that other monkeys sang their songs to a different invisible monkey who had different rules that ours did. This was confusing as our monkey was saying that he was the only real invisible monkey. Fortunately, when I grew up, I met some monkeys who showed me that there was another explanation as to how the Universe and monkeys came to be. I liked this explanation better as it made more sense and it was based on process where ideas were tested and reviewed by very smart monkeys to see if they were true. After a while, I realized that the monkeys back home were singing to a made-up invisible monkey and that the leader of those monkeys was scaring them for no good reason. Hopefully, someday, they will all start spending time helping other monkeys instead of just singing songs. (a member suggested I post this here)
