Because that is all you want to hear. Global warming is happening. Last year, 2023, is the warmest on record. That doesn’t mean that everywhere is warmer. It means there is more energy (i.e., heat) moving around the air and water in ways we are not used to. Thus we have more intense storms, and even the polar vortex moving cold air from the poles further south.

@1patriot, CO2 does not warm the planet. It traps the warmth from the sun and does not allow it to be reflected back out into space.

Imagine yourself in a car on a sunny day, with the windows rolled up. Pretty hot, huh? If you roll down the windows the heat can escape.

CO2 serves the same function as the car window. Pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere is the same as keeping the car windows rolled up. It’s really a stupid idea.
